Yesenia Ochoa DNP, APRN, FNP-C has her Doctorate as a bilingual, board certified Family Nurse practitioner. She has been in the medical field since 2004. Starting in the emergency department as a clerk and later EMT in NM, she found her love in patient care and went on to get her Nursing degree at Phoenix College, and her BSN at Grand Canyon University. From there, Yesenia was fortunate to work in the Pediatric and Adult ICU’s, aesthetic nursing as well as home health care with critical and chronic patients caring for a wide range of disease processes.  Seeing the greater need in her community, she gathered an even greater love to help the underserved and went on to get her Doctorate as a Family Nurse Practitioner at New Mexico State University. Her specialty and training covers family medicine, aesthetics, weight management and chronic and acute care management.  She has had the opportunity to grow in rural areas and specializes with patients of all ages and is big on preventative medicine and care. She focuses on care optimization through prevention, overall health, and patient education and growth in disease management, helping patients from all walks of life.
